I have an amazing smoothie recipe perfect to keep your curves in all the right places. Let’s be honest we’re all busy between careers and family and everything in between sometimes we are lucky to get enough sleep. So I love smoothies in the morning they are fast and easy and you get a a lot of nutrition as well. It's The Tropical Hawaiian Smoothie to make your mornings a little bit easier.
Let's take a look at some of the vitamins & minerals in this smoothie:
- Mangos provides: vitamin C, vitamin A, folate, vitamin B-6
- Pineapple provides: vitamin C, thiamin, vitamin B6, magnesium
- Coconut provides: vitamin C, vitamin E, B1, B5 and B6
- Almond milk is fortified with numerous vitamins & minerals including vitamin D and calcium, however these are synthetic vitamins and there are only about 2% almonds in almond milk so I wouldn't rely on this for nutrition. With that said almond milk is a great alternative to regular milk & soy milk.
The Tropical Hawaiian Smoothie
1 ½ cups unsweetened almond milk
¾ cup pineapple
1 cup frozen mango
1 tablespoon shredded coconut
1 teaspoon cream of coconut (optional)
1 cup ice
Add all ingredients to your blender and blend until you reach your desired consistency and enjoy!
